[Day17] We spent 1.5hr exploring Namobuddha only to find out it was the monastery instead of Stupa 😦 Left at 3.45pm to catch a bus to Dulikhel. Took another bus from Dulikhel to Ratnapak and finally reached Thamel extremely tired and hungry. Had Japanase food for dinner 🙂
Prayer wheels-pilgrims walk clockwise around the stupa and spin the wheels while chanting mantras.
[Day 18] Visited Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). A really nice temple sitting on top of the mountain with great view of Kathmandu Valley. As it is widely known as Monkey Temple, you can expect to see many monkeys hanging around the temple, snatching food from the stalls and sometimes, tourists.
Kathmandu Valley
An iconic symbol in Nepal, Buddha eyes
Left Monkey Temple and visited Garden of Dreams in the city. It was a beautiful garden where you could lie down on the grass and relax. Many people were spotted day-dreaming, reading and dating 😉
